Just finishing her debut tour of the Kuiper Belt, Pluto is back with her new band: The Dwarf Planets!!

You may have noticed that unlike the other Galaxy Girls, Ceres has no symbol. I’d like to say I have some sort of clever reason for that (like Ceres is too much of a non-conformist to follow the crowd,) but really, I just can’t think of one. I am open to suggestions—actually, I’m flat out asking for suggestions. Right now I’m considering a leaf, because “Ceres” is the Roman goddess of agriculture, but it doesn’t quite fit with her irreverent, “Enid”- type attitude. She seems too urban for leaves. Are there any symbols associated with Indie Rock that I’m just not aware of??? In any case, here are some more finalized pics of Pluto while you ponder!

I know, I know, it’s been a whole MONTH since the last post. I could go into the whole “holidays-busy-blah-blah-blah” speech, but on top of that, much has happened in Galaxy Girl land (been to China and back, Minnesota and back, New York and back, talking to people, dealing with others, yadda yadda yadda…) unfortunately none of it involves any art I can post for all you earthlings.

So in the meantime, check out this interesting article. Pluto just can’t stay out of the spotlight! Perhaps her demotion was a GOOD thing for her (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge….)
