LAME POST ALERT!!!

Ok, I don’t actually have 101 reasons, but I have 3. Here they are in order of Legitimate Excuse-y-ness:

1. I have a new job. I took on a big project for a big company and it takes up a big chunk of my time. While this is exciting for my pocket book, it’s boring for my blog because not only is there less G-girl stuff to share, I’m under contractual obligation to NOT SHARE anything I’m doing for this new job. Which really sucks because I’m having sooooo much fun with it, and I’m dying to show it. I may not be able to share anything until 2010!!!! Boo.

2. All the G-girl stuff I AM doing is either not art (business talks, contracts, etc…) or isn’t ready to share or is stuff I featured on the blog before. Hopefully some of these things will be presentable soon, and hopefully they’ll be worth the wait.

3. And this is the lamest of all—- I CAN’T FIND MY CAMERA!!!!! Which is why this post is a bland, boring, text-only post. I hate those. And worse, I’m too lazy to upend my whole house to find it. Maybe I’ll go on a hunt this weekend.

So please forgive me for sucking, and don’t give up on the blog yet!! I’ll get some momentum going again soon, I swear!!

PS– HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

So a week and a half has gone by since I’ve seen Sita Sings the Blues, but I would hate to think that may be interpreted as a reflection of my opinion of the film. “Sita” exceeded my expectations, and I still can’t express how incredibly impressed I am with Nina Paley’s efforts.

There were several things that impressed me about the film. One being that the film featured 4 distinct animation and art-direction styles. 4 styles that came out of just one person, which, as someone who feels so limited, is mind boggling to me.

OMG!! Since I began this blog, I’ve NEVER gone so long without a post!! Please accept my apologies. I took on a very big freelance job with a very tight deadline and had to put aside all things Galaxy Girls and sequester myself for 6 weeks. Hopefully I can share what I was working on soon.
