That is my lame excuse for how long it has been since the last post.

So where have I been? Well, it’s kind of a long story, but there are 2 main reasons:
1. The economy has caused a severe blow to the progress of MWGG and…
2. I had to get a job.

Some of you that I’ve spoken with at Conventions or Festivals, or have just spoken to, or have deciphered cryptic comments I’ve made on the blog in the past, may be aware that there were plans to have affordable gGirl dolls available for purchase for the holidays at the end of this year. Well, unfortunately, the specific plan in place for that event was completely murdered by the poor economy earlier this year. The big plans in place to expand the MWGG website and make more appearances at craft/art/media festivals to support this launch all had to be cancelled. For a while there, I thought MWGG was truly over.

Well, the Galaxy Girls are certainly down, but not out. More opportunities are being explored, and some seem promising.

As for reason #2— my new full time job—- well, that will unfortunately keep the Girlaxy from expanding at it’s previous pace. I’m still sewing, and there should be new goodies in the Etsy shop someday soon.  Not as often as was planned, but still soon.

I promise to update more often, at least every other week, so please keep checking back.  The Girlaxy needs your support more than ever!  And don’t neglect to sign up for the mailing list if you have not already.  News big or small will be announced through it.
