FULL MOON RISING
Friday, January 29th, 2010Look towards the night sky this Friday (Jan. 29th) and you will see a Full Moon. A Full Moon is a lunar phase that occurs when the earth lies between the sun and the moon so that the moon is visible as a fully illuminated disc. It appears only once every month; on average every 29.53 days.
So to celebrate the first full moon of 2010, we are posting some Fan Art of, you guessed it—the Moon! The Moon is quickly becoming a Girlaxy favorite and has even developed a small underground following of devoted fans.
So enjoy the art! And if you have an original illustration of your favorite Galaxy Girl, well we would love to see it! Please forward it to Mother Earth and we’ll put it up on the blog for all the Solar Sisters of the Solar Sisterhood to see.

Future drummers of Pluto’s Interstellar Rock Band, check this out! There is a new publication on magazine stands devoted entirely to female percussionists from around the world! It’s called “Tom Tom Magazine”. It is the brain-child of Mindy Abovitz, a 10 year vet who is currently the drummer for Taigaa, an all-female experimental post-punk band.
