FULL MOON RISING

kinkei_moon

Look towards the night sky this Friday (Jan. 29th) and you will see a Full Moon. A Full Moon is a lunar phase that occurs when the earth lies between the sun and the moon so that the moon is visible as a fully illuminated disc. It appears only once every month; on average every 29.53 days.

So to celebrate the first full moon of 2010, we are posting some Fan Art of, you guessed it—the Moon! The Moon is quickly becoming a Girlaxy favorite and has even developed a small underground following of devoted fans.

So enjoy the art! And if you have an original illustration of your favorite Galaxy Girl, well we would love to see it! Please forward it to Mother Earth and we’ll put it up on the blog for all the Solar Sisters of the Solar Sisterhood to see.

I found about MilkyWay through the fan art at the top, one of the artists I follow on DeviantArt and I must say I absolutely love the whole concept of the series, especially the artwork. It’s like Powerpuff girls meet Deedee from Dexter. XD Only much more awesome. Keep up the great work!

Isn’t she supposed to be the one that always looks sad? The two before the last one are the only ones that convey that.

    So many beautiful fanart!
    ( and I’m glad you kept the one I once did^^ )

Even melancholy and poetic Moon type girls have their lighter and sensual moments. Thank Heaven!! I love the various representations…animated, sad and sultry. These are really great!

I love the one with salior moon!

Moon isn’t always sad, she’s just open about her feelings. As a poet, she’s introspective and not afraid to explore all her emotions— including sadness!! She has reason to smile at times. Take a look here———–> http://www.milkywayandthegalaxygirls.com/solarsisterhoodblog/?p=58 There are a couple smiles in there! :)
